TUFHA is Tuvalu's leading organization promoting family health, youth empowerment, and community well-being through health outreach, education, and advocacy. We operate across all islands and serve diverse communities with care and inclusion. Established in the late 1980s, TUFHA has grown into a trusted voice in reproductive health, gender equality, and youth leadership in Tuvalu. Our team includes passionate health workers, peer educators, and volunteers who work hand-in-hand with local leaders and international partners. We are committed to cultural sensitivity, data-driven programs, and sustainable development goals that place people at the center of care. TUFHA champions rights-based approaches to health and strives to uplift every individualâregardless of location, age, or genderâwith dignity and respect.
TUFHA works across all nine islands of Tuvalu, bringing mobile health clinics, outreach programs, youth activities, and emergency response efforts to urban and remote communities alike. We collaborate closely with island councils, schools, and local health workers to extend essential services to even the most isolated populations. Our initiatives focus on improving sexual and reproductive health, promoting youth empowerment, and addressing climate-related health challenges. By integrating traditional knowledge with modern healthcare strategies, TUFHA ensures that no island is left behind in our mission for health equity and resilience.
The Tuvalu Family Health Association (TuFHA) is Tuvaluâs leading non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting and providing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services. As the only NGO in the country offering clinical SRHR services and counseling, TuFHA plays a critical role in ensuring equitable healthcare access across the nation. TuFHA works across all nine islands of Tuvalu, bringing mobile health clinics, outreach programs, youth activities, and emergency response efforts to urban and remote communities alike.
